Dyeing auxiliaries don’t add colour; they control how the dye behaves inside the process.
Without them, dye exhaustion is uneven. Colour migrates during fixation. Surface dye stays on polyester and breaks down wash fastness. Foam disrupts liquor circulation. Air pockets cause unlevel patches that no re-dip fully corrects. The result is shade variation across the batch, poor colour fastness on finished goods, wasted dye, and the cost of re-dyeing, which no mill can afford to absorb on a critical order.
Levelling agents control the rate of dye exhaustion onto the fibre, allowing reactive dyes to distribute evenly across the full batch before fixation begins. Without levelling, fast-exhausting dyes fix unevenly, producing shade variation that cannot be corrected after fixation is complete.
AMPINOL® washing-off agents remove unfixed hydrolysed dye from the fabric surface after fixation, preventing it from re-depositing during rinsing. Unfixed surface dye is the primary cause of poor wash fastness and crocking on reactive-dyed cellulosics; its complete removal at the washing-off stage directly improves the fastness ratings delivered on finished goods.
Dye fixative agents are applied after washing-off as an after-treatment to further improve fastness on reactive and direct dyed cotton and cellulosic fabrics. They are particularly important for dark and medium shades, critical colours with inherently lower fixation rates, and applications where the end-use involves repeated washing or direct skin contact. The DYFAST® range offers options from cost-effective conventional fixatives to advanced technology with minimal tonal shift.
Yes. EVENOL®, AMPINOL®, DYFAST®, and KOLAPSOL® products are compatible with jet, jigger, winch, soft flow, package, and continuous dyeing systems. KOLAPSOL® foam inhibitors are specifically formulated for high-turbulence machines where standard antifoams lose effectiveness.
Yes. Full Safety Data Sheets and ZDHC MRSL conformity documentation are available across the dyeing auxiliaries range, providing mills with the compliance evidence required for GOTS-certified supply chains and international brand audits.
Every dyeing method, whether exhaust, pad-batch, or continuous, depends on more than just the dye itself. The dye must reach the fibre evenly, fix properly, and remain stable through washing and end use.
This is where dyeing auxiliaries play a critical role.
Together, these auxiliaries help mills achieve consistent shades, reliable fastness, and stable process performance across production batches.
Our dyeing auxiliaries range has been refined through four decades of working closely with textile mills, with each product designed to address a specific process challenge.
The EVENOL® series is developed for shade consistency and dye bath stability. It addresses the two most common sources of dyeing failure: uneven dye distribution in the liquor, and uncontrolled exhaustion rates that lock in shade variation before fixation even begins.
Levelling agents for cellulosic fibres regulate the rate at which reactive and direct dyes exhaust onto the substrate, allowing even distribution across the full batch before fixation is triggered.
Levelling & dispersing agents: polyester & blends
Disperse dye systems on polyester require stable particle suspension through the full high-temperature ramp and even rate of exhaustion onto the fibre.
Alkali donors
Alkali donors release alkali gradually during reactive dyeing, replacing conventional soda ash addition with a controlled, progressive pH shift that improves fixation uniformity and reduces the risk of unlevel fixation from a sudden pH jump.
AMPINOL®
The AMPINOL® series improves washing-off efficiency and unfixed dye removal after dyeing. Unfixed surface dye is the primary cause of poor wash fastness and crocking in finished goods.
Washing-off agents
Washing-off agents for reactive-dyed cellulosic fabrics remove hydrolysed unfixed dye from the fibre surface without re-deposition.
One-bath washing-off
Polyester-cotton blended fabrics dyed with both disperse and reactive dyes require washing-off conditions that address two chemically different dye systems simultaneously.
Reduction clearing agents
After disperse dyeing of polyester, surface dye not fully penetrated into the fibre must be removed by reductive clearing.
Versatile detergents & soaping agents
AMPINOL D Paste – A versatile detergent with powerful wetting and dispersing properties, suited to scouring, kier-boiling, and post-dyeing soaping treatment across all fabric types, cellulosic, synthetic, and their blends. It functions effectively in both exhaust and continuous modes and is a general-purpose soaping agent for any fibre type requiring thorough detergent action after processing.
DYFAST®
The DYFAST® series provides after-treatment fixation for reactive and direct dyes on cotton and cellulosic substrates. Dye fixative agents form an additional bond between the dye molecule and the fibre after the dyeing and washing-off stages, locking in colour and improving wash, rub, and perspiration fastness, particularly important for medium and dark shades, and for dyes with inherently lower fixation efficiency.

KOLAPSOL®
The KOLAPSOL® series controls foam generation during dyeing, particularly in high-turbulence machines such as jets, package dyeing equipment, and continuous ranges where foam build-up disrupts liquor circulation, causes unlevel dye distribution, and leads to machine downtime.
